Make a difference on an upcoming Service-Learning trip:
Upcoming dates for Service-Learning in Swaziland, Africa:
*** Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent closure of the South African and Swazi borders to foreign travelers, our trips have ceased until these border restrictions are lifted. We have POTENTIALLY heard they may be lifted in January 2021. However, that could still mean 14-day mandatory quarantines upon entry (which would effectively cancel our 10 day trips) or mandatory COVID testing prior to travel. We will keep you posted as we learn more! Thank you for your continued interest in supporting our orphaned children who are struggling now more than ever!
Potential 2021 dates could include:
July 2021
December 2021
**Are you part of a team of 4-6 people wanting to go on a service-learning trip to eSwatini?
We can customize your group's trip...email Annie for more details: anniefightspoverty@gmail.com
About our Service-Learning in Swaziland:
Regardless of whether you are a professional or a student, GHFP invites you to join our team on a journey to Swaziland, Africa to learn and dedicate your time, skills, and labor to a community of orphaned children struggling with poverty, HIV/AIDS, and illiteracy. These trips will be tailored to meet the needs of the local Swazi children while remaining cognizant of your skills and expertise including but not limited to: education, engineering, healthcare, nutrition, counseling, and art & design. If you are a student, we will work with your college or university to facilitate you earning independent study college credit for your experience! We at GHFP thank you for your commitment to make a stand, participate on a trip, and actively take part in the global effort to eradicate poverty in Swaziland, curb HIV/AIDS, and empower orphaned children!

This journey will offer:
- Immersion in rural villages ravaged by HIV/AIDS, poverty, and illiteracy.
- An opportunity to become engaged with a very different culture thereby encouraging the development of cultural competence.
- Interaction with children who are dealing with the grief of losing their parents while, often times, also dealing with the burden of raising their younger brothers and sisters.
- A means of experiencing the dramatic beauty of a country that has not been affected by pollution and industrialization.
- An opportunity to teach at rural, impoverished, and poorly resourced primary and secondary schools.
- Hands-on experiences at HIV clinics, African NGOs, schools, child-headed homes, and much more!
- After the trip, you will be encouraged to attend GHFP events and remain involved as an Ambassador for the orphans.
